So over the last week, I’ve been working with a designer to convert my blog to Wordpress. And ta-da! Here it is.
Tell me what you think and if there are any bugs…we’ll squash’em if there are.
And what happened to my Retro Tuesday players? I know ya’ll got all excited over my release date (thank you so much!), but there’s some trivia that needs to be answered.
Check it out and make a few guesses.
Also: here’s a question for you.
I’m doing new Born Venator t-shirts. (Reminder, these are cute, fitted babydoll shirts.) I’m trying to decide what color to do them in…let me know what your vote is (and you could win one!):
+ plum-colored shirt with lime green printing
+ black shirt with hot pink printing
+ dark blue shirt with light blue printing
+ other suggestions? (I think it was someone on here who suggested my last color combo–chocolate shirt with light blue printing).
(this is a picture that appeared in my hometown paper yesterday)

I love the new site!
I think a chocolate brown shirt with either light cream or white letters would look nice.

I’m voting for hot pink on black!
January 3rd, 2007 at 3:32 pm
Awesome! Looks like we both had the same idea — down to (almost) the same title! lol Happy New Year! I like the plum, I think.

Colleen, dude, you have to get rid of the math challenge. I had to try this like five times to get it to post. I chose writing specifically for its lack of maths.
I like the brown shirts.

I think the dark blue with the light blue writing would be great.
January 3rd, 2007 at 4:27 pm
Hi Colleen,
how about a black or chocolate shirt with blood red writing
January 3rd, 2007 at 5:02 pm
Ok, math is keeping me from commenting. Grr. Argh!
Congrats on the new book. I know what an accomplishment that is, since I’m still in a “please give me an agent” stage. I’m so proud of you!
And as you know, venators rock over at Zeus’s.
I think you can’t go wrong with a black tshirt with blood red text. Symbolic, yet classic.

Argh! I “failed the challenge” on my first try and lost all my comments.
The gist was, congrats on the gorgeous new blog, the newspaper article, the fab new review, and, of course, the release of THE REST FALLS AWAY!
(FWIW, I’m with Jaye and Carmen: ixnay on the athmay!)

Congrats on your wonderful book. All the best. Color scheme for shirt is great with black and pink writing.

I vote for the plum colored with lime green printing. My favorite color is green. (the color of money) lol Have a very successful 2007!

Congrats on this impressive book. The plum color with lime green printing is great. Dramatic and eye-catching.

Your book is a special gem. The cover is fabulous. Best wishes for a wonderful 2007. I love the plum color with lime gree.

Love your pic. Congratulations on this new book. The t-shirt color of purple and green is great!

Your photo is great! Love your new book. Very best of luck for 2007. Color for t-shirt - plum with lime green is rich.

Please keep the captchas! Yeah, I’m a weird writer who likes numbers. I keep telling people, they make more sense than writing.
I’ve got an idea. Why don’t you make Born Venator (for some reason, I keep thinking BABY Venator LOL) Ts that match the covers? So Red for The Rest Falls Away and Blue for Rises The Night!

I Love it
Personally I think the chocolate brown would capture more interest its more unique
January 3rd, 2007 at 6:59 pm
Urgh. I got the damn math wrong the first time. I believe it told me I was an idiot. So if this posts twice it’s not my fault. I blame math *g*
I love the brown and cream. But where’s my t-shirt? Oh that’s okay. You can just send it with my ARC of Rises the Night. Bwahahahahahaha!
Love the new Wordpress site! Congrats!

Your book is dynamite and rocks! Love the artwork which is sensational. T-shirt color I love is plum and lime green. Best wishes for a successful and productive 2007.

Love the new site! Hate the math verification
My shirt color vote would go for the blue on blue.

Love the new site…looks much more appropriate for an author site. Cute pic for the local paper, congrats!!! I love the shirts, want to get one for Mary when they are available. I like the idea of chocolate and light blue best, black would be second choice.
Hate the math thing too mostly because when I got it wrong it wouldn’t take me back to try again and I had to type this all over again.

Hmmm I’m torn between liking the suggestions of black with blood red (I prefer red to hot pink). Cream with chocolate brown print would nice too though.

Love the new blog! I vote for brown tees with blue printing. Or even with hot pink printing - it goes surprisingly well with chocolate brown…..
I’m still waiting to read your book - I’m picking it up this weekend!
January 4th, 2007 at 5:14 am
I would prefer one in brown.
(Love the new look!)
January 4th, 2007 at 5:20 am
Your new blog rockz! For the shirt, I’m voting for a shade of pink on a black/brown shirt or a white print on black shirt.
January 4th, 2007 at 2:37 pm
dark blue shirt with light blue printing
January 4th, 2007 at 4:36 pm
Hi Colleen! I vote for the black shirt with the hot pink printing. I also think that a black shirt with silver printing would look great. Same for black with red combo.
January 4th, 2007 at 5:24 pm
Cool new blog! I’ll change my link when I update mine tonight. I think the blue or the plum would be great shirts. Also agree that red on black might be good and vampiry.
January 6th, 2007 at 3:42 pm
I’m voting for pink on black.

I just found your blog through Carl V. There has been a lot of buzz going around the blogging community about your book. It is nice to see a fellow blogger so successful. I just came off a high after reading another vampire tale (Twilight by Stephenie Meyer) and now want to jump into other fun vampire type novels. Yours seems like a perfect fit!
BTW, my vote goes to the plum colored shirt - it would look awesome!
