Retro Tuesday: Action Heroes

Now, gals (and guys) of the '80s….take yourself back to wherever you were, whatever condition you were in, whatever memories you have of those action adventure movies of the '80s….and tell me, which (hot) action hero floated your boat…back then.

Disregard any current events, impressions, opinions that you, in your maturity might allow to influence your memories and let me know…which one?

Door Number One:

Door Number Two:

Door Number Three:

Me? I'm mostly into the Door Number Two kinda guy.

EDITED TO ADD: Since most of you are voting for Door Number Two (and I can see why!), tell me what you think about the fourth installment of Indy and Co. Is it going to be awful? Or will it be fun?

I say…fun, only if Sean Connery is in it too.

    Definitely a door #2 girl.

I was then and I still am now.

  2. Marianne says:

Definitely a door number two gal… though door number one is pretty tempting, he lacked Indy’s sense of humor. That’s mandatory!

  3. Christine d'Abo says:

Most definitely door number 2! The scen in Raiders where he takes his shirt off in the sub…I was in love. Plus who doesn’t love a man who can use a whip?

  4. Bonnie Ferguson says:

    Door number 2 :)

  5. SciFiChick says:

    I’ll take Door #2, Bob.
And I’m looking forward to the 4th installment no matter what. If Sean Connery is in it too, all the better.

  6. Melinda Jane Harrison says:

    I’ll take Bruce. OMG!

  7. Tori Lennox says:

I’m door #2 girl, too. And I’m looking forward to movie #4 no matter what, too. :)

  8. Cosmic Kid says:

#2 for me, if I’m allowed to vote. And I am PSYCHED for Indie4! I can only imagine what this installment is going to set up for the franchise!

  9. Colleen says:

Hey Cosmic…I’m hoping the franchise sets up a successor…a bit younger successor.

Nothing wrong with getting older, but Ford just can’t quite do it for me. Especially since he dumped his wife and hooked up with that stick Calista Flockhart, who’s, what, 30 years younger than he?

  10. Cosmic Kid says:

That’s exactly what I was hoping too, Colleen. The young Indiana Jones serise was cute, but once River Phoenix died, it was over.

Ford lost it once he started playing the president in every movie. haha.

I will speak for my mom here and say that she would definitely vote for door #1, since we have to stop and watch anything with Mad Max in it if it’s on TV! haha.

    See you tonight!

  11. Carl V. says:

I think Indy IV will be good but would actually prefer it didn’t have Sean Connery. If it is done with just enough tongue in cheek mixed with some good action scenes I think it will succeed.

  12. marina says:

I would definitely vote for door number 2 myself. However, I’m not looking forward to the fourth installment. It means I need to buy it on DvD to keep my collection up to par, and I’m sorry, but that’s just not right considering I bought the boxed set! Bastards!

  13. sassymonkey says:

I’m a door number 3 gal despite the fact that I studied archaeolgy. ;)

  14. Mary says:

Door #2 - but the 4th Indy will NOT be good. I mean, he’s a cranky old guy now! The old, I can take. The cranky, not so much.
