…I'm twenty-five pages from the end of The Bleeding Dusk, due to my editor in just a few weeks. Eeep.

Anyway, thought I'd share some pics from my book release party, held at an Irish pub (what else is a gal named Colleen Gleason going to do?) complete with string trio, lots of beer, and debutant author…as well as a debutante vampire slayer.
Oh, and a vampire too. Named Richard.
Victoria had the best line the whole evening. She was showing everyone her stake, and said, "But I cannot show you how I usually wear it, under my skirts, for, while it might very well help my dance card, it would do nothing for my reputation!"

Victoria managed to stake her first vamp amidst the Guinness pints!
And Susan Tucker from Borders was there with a hefty supply of books…all of which we sold, and still had people wanting more!

Thanks Jill! It was a lot of fun, and the guy who played the vampire really took his role seriously.
May, I’ve heard that before. I’ll believe it when I see a pic of you holding it.
Katkat…Janet….don’t tease, ’cause I might just take you up on it. I have friends in both places. Mwahahahaaaaa!

What an awesome promo! It looks like it would have been a lot of fun. I love the woman playing Victoria. She looks like how I’d imagined the character.
