Thursday Thirteen #26

Thirteen Reasons it's a Bright & Sunny Day

Here in Colleen Land

1. The sun is blasting through my window, brightening up a clear blue sky. It's not too cold and the air is crisp and I might even be able to smell a bit of spring.

2. I've got wonderfully aromatic mushroom barley soup on the stove for lunch.

3. I get to meet with my two writing buddies tonight for the first time in two weeks.

4. I'm thisclose to being done with the revisions on The Bleeding Dusk and sending them back to my editor.

5. I took my daughter to see Music & Lyrics yesterday and loved it as much the second time as I did the first.

6. I've started working on my new book (not a Gardella) and am liking it so far.

7. No one in my house is sick…for the first time in two weeks!

8. Those blasted Girl Scout cookies are almost gone.

9. I got to cuddle with my Music Man in bed this morning before getting up.

10. No one yelled or got in a fight this morning before going off to school.

11. My five year old just came upstairs to me, all tumble-haired and sleepy-eyed, and gave me a big, morning-breath kiss.

12. My Music Man has actually painted the primer on a wall in our living room that's needed to be painted for four years.

13. I don't have to be anywhere this morning, so I can work in my PJs as long as I want!

oooh, what’s the new book about?

  2. Annie says:

Sounds like an excellent day, Colleen! I’m especially jealous about the PJs bit!

  3. SciFiChick says:

Yeah… wondering what the new book is too?

  4. Colleen says:

I’m out of my PJs, finished my revisions, and ate my mushroom barley soup! Yay!

As for my next project, well, that’s one of those books I write under a different name, so I can’t be specific here, for all the world to see.’

  5. cosmic kid says:

Today is a WONDERFUL day, isn’t it?

PS. I got a leaked version of Ted Leo’s new CD, and one of the songs is called “Colleen” and it reminds me of you!

  6. Nancy says:

    I need a #10!

    I want a day in my PJ’s!

  7. Tink says:

Spring is arriving finally; it was a wonderful day over here too. My TT has 13 cat quotes this week.

I received The Rest Falls Away today, I ordered it online after I read about it here on your blog. After finishing my current read I’ll start in it!

  8. booklogged says:

Happy Sunshine Day, Colleen. So The Rest Falls Away is not your first book?

  9. spyscribbler says:

Working in PJs … I wish I could do that. I just end up crawling in bed and going back to sleep. Sounds like an awesome day, though!

I decided to make homemade soup today, too!

    Happy TT!

  10. Carl V. says:

Good day! Got a welcome surprise in the mail today…the ARC for Rises the Night. Thanks! Called Mary on her way home from work and told her that it was waiting for her (I know better than to try and read it BEFORE she does) and she was giddy! We’ll both be reporting on it soon.

  11. Gypsy says:

All wonderful things! I hope you enjoyed your day.
