I expected something much better than this for the last Potter cover. Really. Ugh.
I mean, I realize they could pretty much do anything for the cover and it would sell like mad, but this? I personally preferred the mockup black and white cover they have had everywhere since the book's release was announced.
What about you? Thumbs up or thumbs down?

The second installment of the Gardella Vampire Chronicles takes Victoria to Venice and Rome.

I don’t know. I don’t hate this one, but I don’t much like it either.
The UK edition is somewhat more appealing to me. Still, though, it seems like they could have done a better job.

I agree with you completely. They should have left it as it was with the plain black mock up. I just think that this one looks stupid.

I like it! I do prefer the UK one, all of those are better. This one gives away what (or where) the Deathly Hallows is. Anybody else figure it out?

I don’t hate it, but it’s… really awfully bland.

pffttt on the cover.
the question is, are you worried about being disappointed in the book?

Sandy, when I first saw the cover, I thought of the Roman Colosseum. But I’m sure that’s not it.
It also looks like a Quidditch field to me. LOL. Where do you think it is? What am I missing?
Sparky…I’m not afraid of being disappointed in the book, mainly because I know Rowling has had this planned since the beginning. So she’s been heading in this direction all along. I’m confident she’ll pull it off with flying colors.
I haven’t read The Half-Blood Prince yet (although I’ve heard about the whole who-dies thing). I intend to start from the beginning and re-read all of them, and then HBP, starting in May or June so I can bang through them all and then sink in to the Deathly Hallows.

Quixotic, I saw the UK one and liked it too. There’s also another cover, called “the adult version” (whatever that means) that I think is the best of the three…it’s black and has a Slytherin locket on the front cover.
It’s here: http://www.laineygossip.com/pics/harry%20last%20cover.jpg

I actually liked the full cover image, seen here:

Taken as a whole its really not that bad. The way they presented it is, though.

I think the cover depicts the tiered seating in the basement of the Ministry of Magic where Harry & co. fought the death eaters at the end of OoTP. The flowing curtains are on the gateway that Sirius fell through. What do you think?

I never cared for any of the covers, US or UK. But I DO so love what’s inside

I actually like all three covers. Since ours is already pre-ordered it will probably be the one you show. I think I’ll give that one to my daughter and try to order the locket one for me.

LOL XD
I agree. The ‘black cover’ was rather nice compared to this yellowish… thing… Well, whatever, I only hope the book doesn’t suck like the cover! I’m waiting anxiously to read it. I hope I won’t get disappointed…
