Man, do I love Mexican food.
Nachos…fresh corn tortillas with guac and shredded pork and jalapenos and tomatillo salsa….enchiladas suiza…chilis rellenos…fish tacos with cabbage and mango/pineapple salsa. (Even my kids will eat those!)
Get me to a good Mexican restaurant and I'm happy as can be. Really. It makes my day.
Which is why it sucks that it's almost bathing suit season and I (ahem) need to give some attention to that looming on the horizon. Gakk!
No more nachos for me for awhile. No enchiladas. Nope. And chili rellenos? No way.
Sigh. Why do things that taste so good have to go immediately to the hip/butt area?
Sooo…what's your ethnic food weakness?

The second installment of the Gardella Vampire Chronicles takes Victoria to Venice and Rome.

Oh, man. Did you have to mention sopapillas? I can’t even remember the last time I had good sopapillas. *sigh* Now I want some in the worst way.
I guess you’ve figured out I have a major weakness for Mexican food, too.

Mexican is my big weakness too. My kids just love it and it’s easy to make for supper. I’d hate to have to give it up.

I loves me some Mexican food, but I also really enjoy Italian food…and just food, in general. This time a year anything that can be grilled outdoors is appealing to me as well.

I love Mexican, but Italian is probably my worst weakness. All the pasta settles though….

I love me some Eye-talian food, too, Carl. Yum. It really is a hard choice between Mexican and Italian, but I think it’s the guac and cheese that put me over to the Mexican side.
Although I do love a good Bolognese sauce.
Hmm…we ought to do a recipe exchange some day.

I have many food weaknesses, but would have to go with you on the Mexican food. We have the best Mexican restaurant right in the center of town and their steak fajitas are to die for. Any every meal is preceded with a couple of baskets of warm tortilla chips and out of this world salsa. And of course all is washed down with tasty frozen raspberry margaritas. Who knew our small Mass town could have such a great Mexican restaurant? WHO KNEW? Our still city-dweller friends that come out to the “country” to visit our former city-dweller selves are always impressed when we take them there

Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Korean… I don’t care so long as it’s good. Thankfully, the Tour Manager can cook a lot of this stuff or I’d be as round as I am tall…

I love Mexican food so much I’m having a Mexican Food Night at my house next week. I’ve invited all the Brits, Americans and Aussies I can find (and some Germans, of course!) and we’re going to make almost everything from scratch. It’ll be SOOOOOO good…I miss it so much…
