The Eight Things About Me Meme

I got double-tagged by two of my Noodler friends, Trish and Mary, to answer this meme in which I list eight things about myself that you probably don't know.

Since ya'll don't know *that* much about me, it should be easy. Right? Hmmm.

Okay. Here goes:

1. My family tree contains a bonafide saint–Brother Andre, a French Canadian.

2. I have six piercings, and you can't see all of them when I'm fully clothed.

3. I've been to Tahiti, but not to Hawaii or Mexico.

4. I looooove hummus, but I hate garbanzo beans. Go figure that one.

5. I've never read Anne Rice. And that's actually a shame, because when my Music Man and I were courting many years ago, he bought me Interview with a Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, and The Queen of the Damned and he wrote the most beautiful, loving, funny love notes inside the front covers of each of them. I still have those books–will never get rid of them–but I haven't read them.

6. I absolutely adore James Garner, and particularly love him in Maverick, Victor/Victoria, and Sunset

7. I am a closet Barry Manilow fan. (Eeek! I can't believe I admitted that!)

8. But I'm also a big Liz Phair fanatic. (How's that for redemption?)

Okay, that was lame, but I followed through on my tags. So, I'm technically supposed to tag eight more people….but I'll leave it up to any of you who want to participate. Let me know in the comments.

Her Majesty Rocks the Hats

I love hats. I should be British royalty, I love them so much.

I wish more women wore them regularly. I used to buy hats rather frequently at this little shop on South Street in Philly called Hats in the Belfry (anyone know it? Is it still there?). I might have to check it out when I visit in June and buy something fun!

And Queen Elizabeth II totally rocked her head gear at the Derby and during her whole visit here.

Love, love, love the hat she wore to the Derby. I would wear that in a heartbeat. Love. It.

This other one is cool, too. But the Derby hat's the best.

T-shirt winners

Thanks to everyone for nominating your favorite guy for Victoria. Several of you have asked who my favorite is, and unfortunately, I can't answer that question.

I will say that some of you might change your thinking after reading Rises the Night…or maybe you won't. (Yes, I thrive on being a tease. Humor me, please?)

The t-shirt winners are:

SMALL: Anissa & Lieke

MEDIUM: Heather

LARGE: Bonnie

You can email me (author at colleengleason dot com) with your snail addy (or I'll contact you, once my email actually starts working again), and I'll get those in the mail in the next few days–hopefully before the postal rates go up!

The hottest in Venator fashion…modeled by Max.

Made you look, didn't I? Mwahahahaaaaaa!

Let me introduce you to Max, who's showing the hottest in Venatorial garb: the official Born Venator t-shirt.

Cut in baby-doll style, it fits like a glove to show off those pecs–er, curves. Max's choice is the lime green on forest.

And guess what. I have four Born Venator t-shirts left in stock before I print more. They're grape with lime green printing, all baby-doll styles. I have two smalls, a medium, and a large.

So, if you want one, make a comment and tell me whether you're a Sebastian, Max, or Rockley fan. (Or Briyani–some of you think he's hot too!) And tell me what size you want. And I'll draw the winners.

Remember, they run smallish, and they're fitted.

Harry or Ron?

So…if you were, say, a female student at Hollywood's version of Hogwarts, who would tickle your fancy?

Harry….

or Ron?
