Bookfool just tagged me with this great meme, and I'm going to jump right in and answer it…and then it'll be your turn. Savvy?
“Ten Literary Characters I Would Totally Make Out With If I Were Single and They Were Real But I’m Not, Single I Mean; I Am Real–But I’m Also Happily Married and Want to Stay That Way, So Maybe We Should Forget This…”
No way! This sounds like too much fun! So…here goes:
1. Roarke from the JD Robb books (but only if Eve Dallas wasn't around; I don't want to get stunned)
2. Ian di Vipont from Roberta Gellis's Roselynde Chronicles. Ooooh…and Adam LeMagne too. Yum.
3. The Weasley brother who studies dragons. (Can't remember his name. Is he the one who married Fleur?)
4. Radcliffe Emerson from Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody books.
5. Jack Sheridan from Robyn Carr's Virgin River books.
6. Joe Morelli Ranger from the Stephanie Plum books. (See, I'd marry Joe, but I'd make the hell out with Ranger.)
7. Jim Frayne from the Trixie Belden books. (ahhh….my first literary crush)
8. Mr. Darcy.
9./10. Max Pesaro/Sebastian Vioget
(Yeah, it's probably a little cheesy to want to make out with my own characters…but, ya'll, I created them. I know they'd be good.)
Anyone else want to jump in? You don't have to name ten….just as many as you want.
Oh, and I'm officially tagging Jenny Armintrout, MaryKate, and Katie.

The second installment of the Gardella Vampire Chronicles takes Victoria to Venice and Rome.
My novel,

I’ll play.
-Roarke is a given (but Eve would have to be done with him, definitely)
-Zach Bronson from Lisa Kleypas’ “Where Dreams Begin”
-Yeah, I’m a Ranger girl myself, though I bet Joe is all kinds of fun too.
-Sam Starrett from Brockmann’s Troubleshooters - far away from Alyssa’s gun
-Wildcard from Brockmann’s Troubleshooters - there’s just something about him.
-Simon for LaBrecque’s “Daring in the Dark”. A sexy, tortured hero secretly in love with the heroine, plus he’s got an accent: yum-mo
-Zsadist from the BDB series - the way that man can kiss! Even his first time.
-Jamie from Lori Foster’s Visitation series.
I know there are more, but I gotta go to work!

I have 11…couldn’t decide which one to throw out so I kept them all…
Jamie Fraser — from Diana Gabaldon’s OUTLANDER series. Large, red-headed man — usually not my type but, hey, lust has no boundaries…and did I mention he’s Scottish?
Fitzwilliam Darcy — let me jump on the Darcy bandwagon — seriously, what woman in her right mind wouldn’t want to make out with him? I mean, really?
Nathaniel Bonner — from Sara Donati’s INTO THE WILDERNESS series. White man raised by Indians. Long black hair. Breechclout. Um…what was I saying…my mind wandered for a moment…
Erik, the Phantom of the Opera — not so much from the original version but from Colette Gale’s UNMASQUED. And I’m not even going to mention Gerry Butler. Except I just did.
Richard III — okay, he’s a real person but there’s a lot of fiction out there so I’m running with that.
Darroch Mac an Righ — from Audrey McClellan’s Scottish Island novels. Hmmph…and och…and all that.
Jai Raventhorne — from OLIVIA AND JAI by Rebecca Ryman. Fell in love with him reading the first book but probably the first time I’ve ever said I wish I hadn’t read a sequel (THE VEIL OF ILLUSION).
Maxim de Winter — Daphne Du Maurier’s REBECCA. Need I say more?
Torchay — from Gail Dayton’s fantasy ROSE series. Another redhead. Maybe they are my type after all.
Wulfgar — THE WOLF AND THE DOVE by Kathleen Woodiwiss. This is one of the first “romance” books I read as a teenager and remains my favorite of all-time. He was just so, you know, Norman. And conquering.
Max Pesaro — but not Sebastian. Okay, maybe Sebastian. But mostly Max. I’m in love with freakin’ Max. And I’m very worried about him.

1) Colin Ames-Beaumont. From Meljean Brook’s Demon Moon.
2) Max Pesaro, so angry, so yummy. Colleen Gleason’s Gaurdian Series
3) Eric the Vampire. Golly, he’s a pip. Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse series.
4) Zsadist. I’m such a dork.
5) Derek Craven. Lisa Kleypas. How could he not make this list?
6) Wynter Ruskin. Christina Dodd Rules of Surrender. He is freaking hot.
7) Matthew Swift. Lisa Kleypas Scandal in Spring. I just like him.
8) Bowen MacRieve. Kresley Cole’s Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night. Grrowl.
9) Max Baghat. Suzanne Brockmann’s Breaking Point. My favorite Brockmann hero.
10) Hawke Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changeling series. Sure he doesn’t yet have his own story, but I love him already.

I don’t think I’ve read enough of Rises the Night to get Max yet, but I still think Sebastian is pretty sexy, in a sleazy sort of way!!
And I’m still a Morelli girl, though you gotta love Ranger!

I love your answers! And, everyone else’s. Especially Sandy’s comment about Sebastian. I thought he was really slimy and evil in The Rest Falls Away, but by the middle of Rises the Night, I was in love. Sigh.

I’ll play tho mine contains a few of yours .. eh hem JIM FRAYNE! hee!
In no particular order:
1. D’Arcy
2. Jim Frayne
3. Max
4. Judd from Caressed by Ice
5. Raine Montomery (from Jude Deveraux’s Velvet series)
6 thu ?. Just about every hero from Linda Howard’s pen- especially the older books!)
Cute Red head story:
I was at my 11 yr old Nephew’s football game and while spectating, my niece introduced me to a gal sitting with her informing me that her brother played on the same team. “The one with the red hair,” she said, pointing at the player with his helmet removed. Sure enough his hair stood out like a flame- just like Ron Weasley and good ol’ Jim!
Not long after the palyer’s sister needed a quarter to buy some candy so I gave it to her with a wink saying, “Red haired boys have always held a special place in my heart”. She gave me a puzzled look and my niece rolled her eyes and said, “My Aunt’s weird.”
yeah weird about for red-heads- and I have to say, it’s all because of Jim Frayne!
October 31st, 2007 at 4:21 pm
OK, it’s up. I can’t believe no one’s mentioned Edward Cullen. He’s a new favorite for me. Also, I’m a BIG Rhage fan.
October 31st, 2007 at 6:53 pm
Yay Zeek! I knew there had to be another gal who “got” Jim Frayne. Yumminess.
Love the redhead story. (My first love was a redhead.)

“(My first love was a redhead.)”
Apparently me too, though I don’t remember it. My Mom said, when I was in preschool (then it was called “The Child Care Center”) I apparently had a thing for a little red head named Mitchell. She said he’s all I talked about when she picked me up after the day was out! LOL!
November 1st, 2007 at 3:15 pm
I’m really going to have to put those Stephanie Plum books on my list to read someday!
