Pay It Forward and celebrate the season. (sticky post)

I did this last year, and it was so much fun…and so fabulous and heartwarming to see people take the time out of the terrible hustle and bustle of the holiday season to remember others.

I mean, really, that's what it's all about, isn't it? Doing for others?

So, here we go again this year. Even bigger and better, and there are two parts to this contest: one for all you bloggers, and one for everyone who cares to participate as commenters–bloggers, lurkers, regulars…whoever.

I’m such a tease.

I just got the cover for When Twilight Burns (yes, even before the book is turned in!), and I have to say…the guy on the front (and he can be whoever you want him to be…Sebastian, Max, Beauregard for those of you who like Beauregard, whoever….) is built like Danny Boy.

Meaning, Danny Boy Craig. Mr. Bond himself. If you've seen the movie, you know what I mean. Oh, yes you do.

Shall I post it? Huh? Huh? Huh? *blinks innocently*

Feelin’ a bit like Punxsutawny Phil

I typed The End last night…about 10:30.

There's still more work to do, but since I'm basically a one-draft writer (a single draft that gets mangled and reworked and pounded into shape as I work my way through it), it feels good. It's done.

So now I feel like it's Groundhog Day and I've just emerged from a dark hole. *blink, blink*

How did it get to be December???

I have a big contest planned for the next few weeks, and had hoped to post something before now…but, alas, it's Dec 3, and I don't have the post done. Tomorrow or later today. Promise.

Fun, get-into-the-spirit-of-the-season contest…coming up!

Getting close….

Getting there!

Only a bit more to go on When Twilight Burns, then I can throw myself wholly into getting ready for Christmas.

I'm feeling especially great, because I finally wrote The Scene. The scene I've been waiting to write for ages! Love it when that finally happens…and it meets my (and my "first-readers") expectations. (Now, it just has to pass muster with my editor.)

I'm in the home stretch, where everything comes together. The ending is usually as tense and heart-racing for me to write as it is to read, and I can feel the muscles just pulling between my shoulder blades, at the place below my neck. (My chiropractor is going to have a field day when I see him on Monday!)

So, I'm off…back to work.

What's everyone else doing this weekend? Going to get a "family tree"? *snort*
