Goofy joke and new contest.

Q: What do you call a bear without teeth?

A: A gummy bear, of course!

Okay, I know. But it's cute, and it's a joke you can tell your kids!

Happy Friday. It's been a busy week!

Have you got Dusk yet? Did you read it? Are you ready for more?

If you'd like to be entered in a chance to win an advance copy of When Twilight Burns, Carl V. might just be able to help.

To enter: Email a photo of yourself (to cvincent68 at comcast dot net) with your copy of Dusk (read or unread) to him by Tuesday, February 12, midnight EST, and you'll be entered in a drawing to win an advance copy of Twilight Burns.

Based on some of the responses to the last, similar contest he held, Carl says he's giving extra points for creativity. (I think that means he'll draw and EXTRA prize for creative pics.)

(Personally, I think he just wants to see how many pictures he gets of women in black bustiers…but who am I to judge?)

And in the meantime, my kids are looking for some new jokes. So if you have a particularly good one you'd like to share this Friday morning, add it in the comments.

And hope to see some of you in Flint for the signing this evening…and Brighton tomorrow!

I have 30 pages left in the book - I can’t believe I’m on the blog!!! I already can’t wait for When Twilight Burns - especially because we will know who Victoris ends up with(I think I am torn now - I was going Max all the way, but Sebastian…maybe I will feel different by the end of the book - I’ve seen you say a couple times maybe it will be someone else) - THE AGONY - August just seems like forever…I think I am taking my time finishing the book because I just don’t want it to be over! :) I’m debating the picture idea - of course the black bustier came to mind - I’m just a little too shy for that and the cover of the book is just too beautiful and the colors stand out so…hopefully I’ll think of something else - who wouldn’t want an advance copy!!! I’m off to finish the book - work is going to have to wait a little bit longer - I’ve got priorities you know! Have a good one!

  3. Kristin says:

Oops…spelling Victoria - the anxiety is getting to me! :)

  4. Colleen says:

LOL, Kristin…it doesn’t have to be a creative pic. Just any pic. But I think he might draw an extra prize for the most creative one.

    And MaryKate…why am I not surprised? :-O

I got my copy of DUSK yesterday afternoon and ended up talking about the series with the “romance expert” at my local B&N. She is a fan of yours, too, Colleen! We made plans to discuss the book next week after we’ve both read it. ;) I started it last night and WOW! Lovin’ it!

  6. MaryKate says:

Kristin - Team Max all the way!!

In fact, my spam blocker was MAXBABY. Works for me.

I ordered The Bleeding Dusk a few days ago and I’m waiting anxiously! Who knows, I might even send in a picture… ;-)

  9. LeeAnn says:

    Love the pic’s (cute contest)

And just have to say MK I’m not surprised either :o)

  10. Kristin says:

I’m way more Max than I am Sebastian…however, I just can’t quite let go - Sebastian has that bad boy thing going on and I’m always sucked in!!! :)

  11. Carl V. says:

By the way, I didn’t offer an advanced copy of the next book in this contest, I offered an autographed copy of the next book along with an autographed book of the other three of their choice. However, we could use the ARC as part of the ‘creative’ part of the contest.

I had to have my niece pick my copy up in Grand Rapids because the little bookstore we have here didn’t have it. They might get it in on Tuesday but I wanted to buy it in that ‘golden’ first week…

Her comment was “Boy, this cover’s a little racy…”

Silly girl. If she only knew.
