Here's another piece from that poem about fasting.
Boy, I really need to focus on this one today:
Fast from complaining; feast on appreciation.
Fast from negatives; feast on affirmatives.
Thoughts? Anyone?
What do you have to be appreciative for today, in particular? What complaint can you relinquish in order to focus on what's good in your life?

Appreciation: instead of saying the usual “my husband” or “my children”, I will say I appreciate that I can escape into books — which make me forget all of my complaints…
Relinquish: getting aggravated over small things that really don’t amount to a hill of beans.

we’re still fasting on chocolate in my house. To torture the kids I gave them valentine’s chocolate they won’t be able to have for a while he he. Happy VD!

My thought is that is one brilliant poem.
I need this today, too.
