Monday’s The Hotness

Sorry so late posting today. I (virtuously) got up, got the kids off to school (after a whole week of mid-winter break, which, by the way, I don't ever remember having mid-winter break when I was in school–let alone a whole week of it), worked out (gah!), met the Music Man for brunch, went to Borders and wrote for a bit (and spent money in their clearance section–great stuff).

Anyway, enough of the excuses. Here's some hotness for you to brighten up this bleak Monday afternoon.

Tomorrow, stay tuned for another Tuesday Rant (get ready) and also perhaps a final list of titles I've sent to my editor. Thanks so much for all your help.

Oh, and by the way…did Katherine Heigl annoy anyone else at the Oscars last night?

I mean, honey, if you're going to try and aspire to A-list, you don't get up to the Oscars podium when you're an announcer (*snort* as if she'd ever be accepting an award) and apologize for being bloody nervous.

Doh! She's getting on my nerves big time. Which is why I won't go see 27 Dresses, even though my daughter is dying to see it.

Okay, enough rants or I won't have anything left for tomorrow! Enjoy His Hotnesses.

Congrats to Mr. Bardem and  I loooooved the Spanish message to his lovely mother. So sweet. Love that accent too.

(Don't tell me you don't dig the way Mr. Pitt wears his pants. You know you do.)

(I was trying to explain to Music Man about the way guys wear their pants–what's hot and what's…baggy/saggy or too tight. He didn't get it. Sigh.)

The Bleeding Photographs

Okay, this is the moment you've all been waiting for.

*crickets*

Carl V. has just posted the contestants, and winners, of the send-a-photo contest for The Bleeding Dusk, of course.

Check them out. They are fantastic and ever so much fun!

Help from the peanut gallery?

Lots of you have asked how I get the titles for my books. The simple answer is: brainstorming.

So, here's your chance to be in on the ground floor!

My editor let me know we need to come up with a title for the fifth and final book about Victoria Gardella. I'm thinking it ought to have something more…optimistic…in the title than some of the past ones, since it's the end of the series.

Something maybe with "moon" or "dawn" or "light" or something.

Any ideas?

Here's what we've had in the series so far:

THE REST FALLS AWAY

RISES THE NIGHT (my favorite title)

THE BLEEDING DUSK

WHEN TWILIGHT BURNS

Okay, lay'em on me.

Me. On video. On the Web.

Check it out!

The awesome ladies (Marisa and Maria, better known as the M&Ms) of RomanceNovel TV posted a video of their interview with me from last summer. It's on romancenovel.tv–right there on the home page today, right at the top ("New Video").

I talk about my world-building, my collaging, and flail my arms around a lot. People ask me if I'm Italian. I have to admit that, no, I'm not. I just move my hands a lot.

Here's a direct link for when I go off the home page.

I'm still the Guest Author on the forums today, too, so stop by and say hi!

As promised…

Here I am, literally airborne as I'm carooming down an icy hill.

Such fun with all that cold snow and wind gusting up through my rear vent.

Sheesh.
