I stand corrected.

It wasn't the muffler.

It was the whole bloody catalytic converter.

$600 later…our trip to the Detroit Science Center (which we did because we had free tickets) was a bust.

UGH.

However. I will have some fun news to share soon…hopefully early next week. That's the only thing keeping me from pulling ALL of my hair out.

600$?! O_o OMG!! When I had to change that on my sister’s car it cost us a lot less…but then, my sister’s car is an old Rover, so that may have something to do with that…

Oh Colleen, that could have been us.
We parked on a side street too but got there so late that we didnt wait in the line and decided to go to the DIA.

Hope you have a better weekend

Oh, yuck! What a bummer! I remember when our apartment was robebd back in college that having your stuff taken engenders such a feeling of impotent rage, like, “Dammit, that was MINE! Get your own!” Bleuch!

But, hey, some good news next week? Most excellent!

  9. The Cosmic Kid says:

Apparently one of the most popular things to steal from cars right now are the Catalytic COnverters because they have Platinum in them and fetch a nice price for scrap metal.

    Jeeze louise.
