As the weekend is upon us, and the opening of Prince Caspian (yay!), I had to find out what the hot guy in chain mail's name was. He has such a luscious accent in the trailer ("I am Prince Caspian." *sigh*)
So I did. And I sort of wish I hadn't.
Does this hotness look like a Ben Barnes to you?
Me neither.
Hmph. Just goes to show how important names are.
Perhaps he shall just remain…The Hot Guy in Chain Mail.

The second installment of the Gardella Vampire Chronicles takes Victoria to Venice and Rome.

Oh, man, that IS a bummer! Ben Barnes is, like, the accountant your mother wants to set you up with, but you don’t like because he wears short sleeve shirts with ties, and still lives with his mom.
It’s certainly no Max Pesaro or Sebastian Vioget!

I was way more disappointed by all of the TERRIBLE dialogue in the film. It was laughable at some points. UGH. However, it kept my attention and moved really well.

LOL LOL LOL Ben Barnes! but yes Steph someone wrote that while on cold medicine. Pretty? yes! exciting? yes! but the dialogue felt very “ben barnes” LOL LOL ok that’s my new slang for “looks great but is surprisingly plain and a tad dull” LOL

I’m still really excited to see this movie. It’s the first big summer movie I’ll see, followed very closely by my date with Indiana Jones next weekend.

Rachel! Love it. The accountant blind date. Perfect.
I love the new slang, Deneishia! Don’t Ben-Barnes it. LOL.
Steph, I’m sure I’ll be cringing at the dialogue if it’s that bad too. Sigh.
MK, I was sort of ambivalent about the new Indy Jones movie…I just see Harrison as too old to look hot/good in it. But I’m feeling more excited now, so will definitely be seeing it–unless it’s horrible.

Yup, I would just call him the Hot Guy in Chain Mail! Ben doesn’t go along with that…but it’s still a nice name(my oldest son is named Ben)!
I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie dumb dialogue or not - hope we can find the time to squeeze it in!
I’m not super excited for Indiana Jones, but I know the whole family will want to see it…so I’ll be along for the ride(I’m sure I’ll enjoy it, too)!

Maybe if you think of him as “Benjamin” it will help. It’s a little more exotic and less like a bear from a sixties TV show.

What were you expecting? Loquacious Alistair?
That’s my son’s first name and his last also starts with a B.
I’m almost offended, but not really. I really like the name Benjamin.

I saw Ben Barnes on a couple of late night talk shows and he seemed pretty charismatic and funny. Jimmy Kimmel was laughing at his boy band past.

Hey Outburst…I happen to love the name Ben, Benjamin myself. I think it was just that I did expect something like…I dunno…Christian or Thomas or Damian or something.
It was the Ben + the Barnes that sort of did it for me. Benjamin Barnes rolls off the tongue better for me, anyway.
