New ’do, new shirts!

Came home last night from a furious writing stint at Borders cafe to find a big box of brand-spanking new Powered by Vis Bulla tees on my front porch.

My daughter immediately snagged one of the gray ones (I like them the best), and I handed one black one off to Music Man. I'll be shipping off the pre-orders I've already received in the next day or so, and my webmistress will be reopening The Venator Store shortly for those of you who are interested in the new versions.

(Or you can email me in the meantime– books at colleengleason dot com)

The printing on the shirts, if you can't tell, is silver and red–not white. You can see better what it looks like on the white tee I'm wearing.

These are an As Shadows Fade version, because that cover has silver and black on it. Very lovely. Will be posting a picture in a few months…my publisher gets a little squidgy if I post it too soon. But I'll be showing it off at my signings, and also for anyone who participates in the Virtual Booksigning.

Here's a pic of me showing off my new 'do and the new tees. Love the gray! (Not my hair, the tee.)

The pictures don't do the hair justice–it looks much more spunky in real life, and you can't see the rich cherry-cola color very well. But you get the gist.

You'll just have to come to one of my booksigning events if you want to see it for real!

I must say I love the do’. I was just recently at my hair-stylist’s place and she had just got done coloring a client’s hair that color and it looked amazing!
And I like the shirts! I’ll have to get me one of ‘em.

I’m getting all the shipping ready for the pre-orders, and I’m already almost sold out of XXL black fitted tees.

Thanks for the compliments on the ‘do…it doesn’t look so great in the pictures (I’m just not one of those people who takes good pictures easily)…my author photo was a complete accident. :-)

    Love the hair!
I recently got mine cut shorter, and don’t care for it so much. :(
My favorite is the gray shirt too. :)

Super cute ‘do…love the color! :) T shirts look great! :)
My 13 year old just got about 7 inches cut off her hair last weekend so she could have a more “Emo” look. It turned out pretty cool…it’s more of what I would call “semi-emo” which works just fine for me! ;)

  12. Colleen says:

Uh….am I embarrassing myself if I ask what exactly is “Emo”?

  13. Kristin says:

Hey Colleen…I had to go to Wikipedia for this myself. I knew “emo” came from the word emotional…when it’s associated with a certain fashion the term is sometimes stereotyped with long fringe bangs brushed to one side of the face or over one or both eyes, dyed black, straight hair. The term “emo” really seems to cover an awful lot of stuff…it can get kind of dark. Anyway, that’s why I’m happy Kylie’s hair is only “semi-emo”. Shorter in the back, very long fringed bangs off to one side and her very natural blonde…and I don’t find her to be any more emotional than I think a happy, healthy 13 year old should be! :)
