Happy Friday! My kids (and I) are delighted that it's a snow day today here in Michigan!
(The only bad thing is instead of one phone call, we got two, within twenty minutes of the other….the second just as I was falling back to sleep at 6:15…to let us know school was canceled. One would have been enough.)
Anyway, big snowstorm=no school, fire in the fireplace, and oooh! reading a good book!
But, for those of you who aren't snowbound (or even if you are), you simply must dash over to the Manuscript Mavens blog. TODAY. NOW.
They are hosting a Create Your Own Adventure story from now until Valentine's Day, and it's going to be a lot of fun. Plus, prizes! (including Gardella books!)
Each day, an author will write chapter in this create your own story epistle and end with four options for the story line. Blog commenters will vote on the way they want the story to go, and the next day, a different author will post the next episode.
And guess which author was asked to kick it off? Moi. So head on over and check it out. Lots of fun. You have to vote by 7pm EST so the next victim author has time to write the chapter overnight.
(I was really glad I got to be the one who started it, even though all they told me was to make it contemporary, and to try and relate it to Valentine's Day.) (Heh.)
So go there now.
And….now…the winner of the Will He or Won't He? contest. Lots of great entries, and wonderful feedback. I'm glad the book's already written (and the fourth one too!) so I wouldn't be influenced by all your ideas!
Anyway, the winner, who will be the recipient of an Advance Review Copy of When Twilight Burns (sometime early this summer, when I get them) is….drumroll please….
MICHELLE FRY!
Congrats, Michelle! I've already emailed you, but if you don't get it for some reason, you can catch me at books at colleengleason dot com.
Thank you ALL for participating and if you're still hoping for a chance to win When Twilight Burns early, you can head over to Carl V's, where he's hosting another contest right now!
Are you snowed in too? What are you going to do today?
