I'll draw a winner tomorrow morning. So speak up today

Second, my Immortalize Your Friend in a Book Contest ends tomorrow at midnight. Did you enter a friend yet? Go! Do it! It's the neatest prize you'll ever win. (The winners of the first contest make an appearance in The Bleeding Dusk…I'll be telling you all about that later.)

Contest Winners, or, The ARCs are coming! The ARCs are coming!

Sorry for the delay, but I was waiting for my ARCs of The Bleeding Dusk to arrive so I could provide them to the winners of various contests I've had here on the blog.

So, without further ado:

The winner of the Readers Ask contest is: Chris Howard of Stuff as Dreams are Made On!

And the winner of the But Why a Meatball? Contest is: Christine d'Abo!

Congrats…I'll be in touch, or you can email me at author at colleengleason.com to claim your prize.

Contest coming to a close…

Well, things are much better on the homefront. Thanks to everyone for their good wishes and emails!

The potentially bad situation was fine–no problems; false alarm.

The other one, with my son who's been hospitalized since Tues, is also fine. He's coming home tomorrow and is doing absolutely great. I had a good night's sleep last night (yay!) because Music Man stayed at the hospital with him…

…so that means the meatball contest is winding down. So, get your entries in by midnight Friday EST, and you'll have a chance to win a brand new, hot off the press Powered by Vis Bulla tee

But…why a meatball?

When our former au pair from Germany came to visit us a few weeks ago (the Milka guy), his sister Maike told us the oddest story. I've been saving it for a Monday, and so here we are!

Apparently, Maike and her friends were leaving to go somewhere, and they came outside to get in their car, which was parked on the street in Munchen.

Anyway, Maike went over to the car door to open it, and there, sitting on the door handle was a meatball.

Just sitting there, minding its own business. With a bite taken out of it. Naked and everything.

As you can imagine, much hilarity ensued, as it did at my house when we heard the story.

But, I give it over to you, my blog friends. For a prize, in fact.

Why and how do you imagine that meatball came to be sitting there on the door handle of my friend's car? Was it hitchhiking?

Best answer/story wins….a brand new Powered by Vis Bulla t-shirt!

You have until Wednesday at 11pm EST to tell me your version of how that meatball arrived there.
