After learning from a friend of mine that her new MacBookPro’s hard drive crashed a few weeks ago, and fully aware that I never, never back up my brand new MacBookPro laptop (which is completely foolish as I do most/all of my new writing there), I made a trip to the Apple store today to get a portable hard drive for said laptop.

(Which, I think, I’ve named Buffy, by the way. The laptop, not the hard-drive. Considering the fact, however, that the hard-drive plugs in to Buffy, perhaps I ought to name it….Spike. It’s sleek and red and very, very sexy.)

Spike, my sexy portable hard drive. Emphasis on the *hard*.

Anyway. *cough* Feeling virtuous as I am sitting here at Panera watching that little red hard drive work very hard to back up my Buffy-top and blogging.

Will wonders never cease?

Hmm. Apparently, these are available over in Europe somewhere for a limited amount of time.

Much as I dig grape popsicles and admire Mr. Craig, I think I’d rather have the real thing. You?

Who would you like to see as a popsicle…and what flavor?

Scared myself silly watching this movie last night, while Music Man and PirateBoy were out of town on a birthday excursion.

I really enjoyed the first part of the movie, watching Robert Neville (ie, Will “I-Can-Do-Pull-Ups-Oh-Yes-I-Can” Smith) living his daily life in post-apocalyptic New York. There were some very slow camera action parts that I ended up fast-forwarding through.

And then I had to fast-forward through the zombie/vampire battle near the end. As many of you know, I don’t care for interminable action sequences, and add in blood-thirsty zombie creatures, and you know I’m going to employ the remote!

I’ve been told to read the novella, which is quite different from the movie. And though I intend to some day, I went and read a detailed synopsis on Wiki and really loved the idea of the story.

So…did you see the movie? Read the story? Do you read/like post-apocalyptic fiction? I’m fascinated by it, especially after seeing I Am Legend and watching a bit of Life After People on the History Channel (and having read part of the book).

PS Will Smith doesn’t usually do much for me, but that scene where he was doing pull-ups…shirtless? I changed my mind right about then.

Oh baby! This is my second most anticipated flick of the year (HP being, of course, the first).

Coming on Christmas Day…!

Found this little clip of Matt Damon doing Matthew McConaughey on Letterman. I do adore Mr. Damon. He is just…mmm-hmmm. Resistance is futile.

Favorite Matthew M. movie? Uh, probably Sahara…because I like Clive Cussler. And…haven’t seen that many Matthew M movies anyway. Heh.

Favorite Damon movie (why do I even bother to ask…of course it’s the Bourne trilogy). But if you disagree, do it now!
