Because it’s Friday, and you must have one.

So lots of you have been asking when I'm going to have new t-shirts. Well ask no longer! I'm putting in an order today.

This lot will be either black or dark red or heathered gray shirts. They'll be the baby-doll style, long enough to cover those muffin tops hanging over the low-ride jeans (LOL), and in a fitted style. (sizing info is here)

(I'll also have looser men's-style shirts in black or gray available for anyone who prefers that style).

The print colors (thanks to Lacey at Borders, who helped me decide last night) will be: silver and bloodred. (Will look awesome on the black and gray shirts, no?)

So, looking at the picture: what's lavender now will be silver.

What's gold will be red.

The shirt will be black or dark red or gray–your choice.

Anyone who's interested in a pre-order (to make sure I get your size and color) should email me at books at colleengleason dot com with your color and size. Cost is $14 plus shipping (depends where you live), paid via Paypal.

Please put T-SHIRT in the subject header so it doesn't get lost in my inbox.

(Er…PS. Free t-shirt to whoever hooks me up with The Laughter of Dead Kings before its release.)

Another Top Pick!

Boy, am I excited! I just learned that When Twilight Burns is a Top Pick for Romantic Times BookClub magazine, and the review is wonderful. Yay!

Not only that, but my dear friend Jackie Kessler also claims a Top Pick for August for her third installment in the Hell on Earth Series, Hotter Than Hell! Congrats to Jackie, whose book about His Hotness, the Incubus Daun is one I've been waiting for since first meeting him in Hell's Belles.

Anyway, here's the RT review in its entirety:

Fans of this brilliant series know vampires have met their match in Venator leader Victoria Gardella Grantworth de Lacy and that they're in for a thrilling ride. Gleason draws you into the dark, sensual realm where the lines between good and evil, love and hate blur. Allow yourself to be seduced by the dark side.

Summary: Victoria comes home after surviving an attack by the deadly vampire Beauregard while she had been hunting a powerful enemy. She has little time to worry if she's been tainted by Beauregard's blood before a woman is attacked by a vampire in broad daylight.

It's clear someone has found the formula for a potion that allows vampires to live undetected in the sunlight. Victoria is on the hunt along with her longtime friends and sometimes lovers, Sebastian and Max. Unfortunately, clues point to her as the killer. Other suspects include her deceased husband's American heir, an Italian opera singer and her lover, and even a member of the royal family. Pulled toward an inevitable confrontation with the vampire, Victoria must face her personal demons before the Prince Regent's coronation.

And the best part of all…they didn't give anything away! Yay!

(and fans and commenters)…

I'm going to be in your area next week for a workshop for a local writers group, and MaryKate (our own pom-pom carrying Max fan) has agreed to help me put together a very casual "meet and greet."

So, I'm going to be at the coffee shop at the Barnes & Noble in Tysons Corner, VA, on Wednesday, June 11, 7-8:30 pm.

This isn't a B&N sponsored event; I'm just going to hang out and chat with MK and whoever else wants to show up, get their books signed, get bookmarks…and get a chance to win an ARC of When Twilight Burns. *wink* I'm also buying drinks for whoever shows up.

So, if you're in the area, stop by and say hi. I'd love to meet you!

Oooh! Muy bien!

I just found the cover for the Spanish version of The Rest Falls Away on a Spanish website! Isn't it lovely? I absolutely adore it!

Heh. I'm not sure of the release date–it might already be available. More when I hear.

But wow on the cover, huh?

Me ‘n’ Mary Balogh…and more!

Very exciting news here in Colleen Land.

A few months ago, my friend Janet Mullany (author of Rules of Gentility, a very smart, very witty, slightly dirty Regency-set chick-lit romance) invited me to join her and author Susan Krinard in putting together an anthology of novellas. We wanted to find a "headliner," so to speak, and Sue managed to convince the amazing Mary Balogh (!!) to join us.

Talk about a headliner!

Anyway, yesterday, a final deal with HQN (a line at Harlequin/Silhouette) was struck, and so I'm going to be in an anthology with the one and only Mary Balogh…along with the fabulous Sue and Janet. I looooove Mary's books (my favorite is No Man's Mistress), so this is just as exciting for me as being in an anthology with Roberta Gellis!

And here's the cool thing: the tentative title of the anthology is Bespelling Jane and the theme that will pull all four novellas together is…wait for it…paranormal twists on Jane Austen books.

Sweet, huh?

I'm going to do a historically-set novella about Northanger Abbey (what could be better than a gothic romance with a vampire slayer?). Ms. Balogh is doing Persuasion (also historical), Janet is doing Emma (contemporary), and Sue is also doing contemporary–Blood & Prejudice.

I'm delighted. I don't know anything about a release date yet, but I'll keep you posted.

More news to come! Things are just hopping here in Colleen Land.
