Today is what I call “Free Day Wednesday.”
Every week, I keep Wednesdays open for things like hair, doctor, or other appts, lunch meet-ups, “field trips,” and so on.
I don’t usually write new words on Wednesdays unless I have to catch up from Monday and Tuesday (…which I do need to do today, so I guess I’ll be writing!😜)
Wednesdays are also kept open for other business things, like research, copyedits (which just arrived in my inbox for Phyllida #3), and other administrative things that don’t require *new words* on my current manuscript. It’s a different mindset between writing new words/moving the story along and reviewing copyedits or reading research, etc.
Today part of my research will involve visiting a large local wine shop because I am deep-diving into a certain region in France and I feel it’s only right that I fully understand the differences in the way wines taste when they are made in different areas….soil in particular makes a huge difference even in the same general area (eg, Loire Valley, Bourdeaux, etc.)
So…I expect to come home with several bottles of wine and a plan for blind tasting them.
What’re you up to on this sunny (at least, here it is) Wednesday?
